Swimming is a great way to gently build your fitness and find some headspace at the same time. It’s a low impact exercise, that works almost every muscle in your body without putting your joints under stress so it’s great if you’re pregnant or recovering from an injury.
If you’re not a fan of lane swimming, you could try a class such as Aqua-Zumba, or simply go with a friend for a gentle swim and a catch-up. Women only sessions are available at some pools.
