Do it with the kids
Keeping active with the kids can be lots of fun and is a great way to fit exercise time for you into the daily routine when it’s hard to find time for yourself and childcare is not on hand.
Being active also helps children with concentration, memory and social skills, and is a great way to bond and have fun together.
Kids with active mums are more likely to be active themselves, so start them off young and they’ll see exercise as part of life.
10 Minute Shake Ups Free short bursts of fun to get you and your kids moving together

Small Steps activities at South Bristol Children’s Centres
We know that looking after yourself and getting a bit of regular exercise when your kids are small is tough.
To help you fit in some regular activity for yourself as well as the little ones, Bristol Girls Can is currently funding fun, free Small Steps sessions at South Bristol Children’s Centres where you can get active together.
These include Buggy Walk and Talk, Move Together and Boogie Disco sessions, with Toddler Yoga coming soon.
The weekly sessions are taking place at Children’s Centre’s across South Bristol and are open to anyone with children under 5.
