Project Description


In 2015 I went to an open day for women at Trojan Fitness gym. I had a play with the equipment and loved it so much I was easily persuaded to sign up for their first Women’s competition that November!

Last year I placed 2nd at Britain’s Strongest Woman Championships after less than 12 months in the sport.

In my 20’s I had gained massive amounts of weight. When I reached 30 I decided enough was enough. I was introduced to a personal trainer who showed me how strength and conditioning training could help me improve my strength, maintain my new healthy weight, and increase my confidence.

For me, it’s as much a mental challenge as it is physical. I love working to new goals knowing that if I keep at it the new personal bests will happen. It keeps me in good shape and means I can eat lots!
